Venedikt Erofeev's fate is closely connected with the town of Kirovskoye, Murmansk region. Here the future writer lived and studied. The Central City Library named after A. M. Gorky has been collecting materials about the talented countryman for many years. October 24, 2001 in the Central City Library named after A. M. Gorky opened a museum exposition "Kirovsk-Moscow-Petushki", which includes: "Venedikt Erofeev in the Khibiny", "Years of study", "On the Vladimir land", "Moscow-Petushki" - an encyclopedia of Russian life in the 1960s", "Friends of Erofeev", "Going to immortality", "The works of V. Erofeev in theaters around the world". The original design of the exposition is owed to the talented artist Dmitry Novitsky. A map of the Moscow - Petushki route with all the intermediate stations stretches above the entrance door.
